“Doug Mastriano (R) is considering another run for Pennsylvania governor in 2026, setting up a potential rematch with Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) after he beat Mastriano by nearly 15 percentage points in the last election,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
“Shapiro is up for reelection in 2026 and remains unusually popular in the swing state that voted for President Donald Trump in November.”
Mastriano has NO CHANCE.
If he wants to be governor that bad, he should move to Mississippi or Alabama. Pennsylvanians don’t want him. He’s too controversial and too weird, and his conspiracy theories are too wacky and unfounded.
President Trump narrowly won there in 2024, defeating Kamla Harris by 1.7 percent. But unfortunately for Mastriano, even a lot of Trumpers in the Keystone State would support Shapiro over him.
